Kota

Overlooking the beaver pond

A wooden kota a short walk from the beaver pond. Inside it smells of spruce, the stove crackles and a small window looks out over the meadow.

The kota stands apart from the other shelters, closer to the water. Inside there are two beds, a table with stools and a raised platform under the peak of the roof with room for an extra bed. Sheepskins on the floor, a reading lamp by the bed. In the evening you light the stove and all you hear is the forest. In the morning you walk straight down to the pond.

  • its own wood-burning stove
  • a seat by the crackling fire
  • the whole camp to yourselves, up to 4 people
